Dampers

Dampers are designed to influence the characteristics of movement. Providing controlled arrest of a weight or lid they are used across a variety of industrial applications.

Dampers are self contained oil filled rod and tube assemblies without gas. The hydraulic damping unit comprises of a tube, rod and piston system with the movement of the piston through the oil creating the damping charateristics.

Typical motion control uses for dampers include velocity control, deceleration control and momentum change.

Gas Spring have distinct advantages

  • They can be designed to suit individual applications to exacting specifications.
  • They eliminate jerks on the system.
  • Their installation is very compact.
  • They can be produced in small batch quantities.
  • They make the job easier, making it fatigue free.
  • They give a cushioning effect.

Gas Spring are used to:

  • Compensate the weight
  • Reduce fatigue
  • Step less locking operation in angular or linear motion.
